This month we start the county Annual Report submittal countdown.  The final date for submitting Annual Report data is November 1, 2007, but we appreciate any data you can submit before the deadline.  If you have any questions about Annual Report requirements, please consult the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) under the “Reference and Information” tab of this Web site.  If the FAQs do not include your question, you can contact Ryan Eggers, of the Institute for Social Research, at (916) 278-5968 or isr-02@saclink.csus.edu.  You can also submit your questions to evaluation@ccfc.ca.gov and a member of the Research and Evaluation Division will respond.   

At the September First 5 Commission meeting in Eureka, I presented an agenda item highlighting our approach for implementing the Evaluation Framework and requesting the Commission extend the funding until December 2011.  The Commission approved the extension which allows us to enter into multi-year contracts.  You can find the First 5 Evaluation Framework agenda item under the “Center for Results” tab of this Web site.  The agenda item highlights our new data system as the centerpiece of the Evaluation Framework.  This month we are working to secure an oversight contractor before we select an information technology vendor to build our new data system.
